In 1975, fresh out of Brooklyn College with her shiny new psychology degree, Nancy began her REAL education as a recreation therapist at Brooklyn State Psychiatric Hospital (where Woody Guthrie spent the last years of his life). She then did a 5 year stint as an inner city substance abuse counselor. A move across the river to New Jersey with her new husband, and then another transition from “Yankee” to “Damn Yankee”, found her thriving in spite of the culture shock of moving south to Tidewater, Virginia, where she found work developing and delivering education programs for military families. Since arriving in Atlanta in 1992, Nancy has worked with school systems, colleges and universities, and business, community and creative organizations. And, most important, Nancy discovered her purpose, and is now part of the international community of professional coaches.
